Flying the Coop

Another chapter, a new adventure…

A day of extremes!

Today has been full of extreme surprises! It started with me not falling asleep until 7:30-ish in the morning and then waking up at 10:30-ish to the sound of my phone.

It was a text from my sister who had left for work before I even fell asleep. She had news about her boss changing her mind about me. Suddenly she was willing to give me a shot!

This is at a little cafe two blocks away. I’ve applied for other jobs (and I’m still waiting to hear back from some of them), but this looks to most promising and the most immediate! Now, the boss hasn’t decided to hire me yet… I’m just gonna be training and given a few trial shifts. It sounds kinda weird maybe, but the boss has her reasons for being skeptical about me.

Anyway… after that, I had a discouraging exchange with a friend that left me kinda down for a bit. But I bounced back quickly. I was running on three hours of sleep yet everything was going great for me. I got my med tests done without waiting at all… traffic was not an issue on my way down to New West… I basically have a new job… I got some stuff sorted at the bank… and it was only 1:00 in the afternoon. Awesome!

Next was to get a call in to PayPal… when the called back an hour later, things went downhill slightly. Then I went back to going through spreadsheets, invoices, transaction records, and more to try and figure out what PayPal was doing to me. Eventually I threw my hands up because it was so frustrating. I then got a little food, texted someone for a bit, and opted not to go out to choir. I could’ve used the outing, but I was feeling agoraphobic.

And after an up and down night while texting a few friends, I’m left with one thing left to do; sleep.

Oh, by the way, I’d like to plug my Anchor station. I’m currently adding new content every day. A lot of it is just me talking about what’s on my mind, but I’m keeping things lively with jokes, gags, and call-ins from other people. Anchor is like radio stations and podcasts combined. Check out my station at!

Things are looking up. Goodnight, friends! <3
